Wedding Party

Frecia Eanes
Frecia Eanes - Maid of Honor
I met Kayah while we were both walking our fur babies . From the time we met our energy was that of sisters. When we hang out I always know that we are going to laugh until we cry, eat some amazing food, or trying some dance trend to see if we still got it (and we always do). Being a single mom of two, Kayah has truly taught me how to take out time for myself and the true meaning of sisterhood. She is truly the sister I have never had. When Kayah called me and told me Patrick proposed, I cried tears of joy knowing that she found the ying to her yang.  Being Kayah’s maid of honor is a true honor and blessing and I am so excited to take part in her and Patrick’s special day.  I pray that Patrick and Kayah will keep God at the center of their marriage. I truly wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Love you guys.

Patrick is my Uncle. We met about thirty years ago in Norcross, GA. He came to visit my family after we moved here from St. Louis with my Aunt Martine and Uncle Billy. Patrick is my Aunt's brother, therefore, he's Uncle, not any in-law crap. He was younger than a typical uncle though, he actually came down to the basketball court with me and my cousin and balled with us during that visit. I was like, I'm going to embarrass this guy. Patrick was cool with it though, he didn't brag or get flashy, he just schooled the hell out of us in front of my friends and laughed about it to our faces. He was clean cut but definitely a cool dude. For a fourteen year old me it was easy to look up to him. Fast forward to today and Uncle Patrick is still schooling me, only his lessons are of God, life, family, career, finances, friendships, and mostly just being a good man. I look up to my Uncle Patrick! I appreciate his leadership and consider him a role model for me and my sons. My relationship with Uncle Patrick can not be described in one paragraph so look at my life and you'll see the direct impact of having a relationship with Uncle Patrick. He makes everyone around him better!

My bond with Ms. Kayah blossomed unexpectedly, and I'll admit I was a bit unsure about her at first. I tend to be really protective of my loved ones. But as I got to know her, my doubts disappeared. Not many people know this, but Ms. Kayah and I often have these little moments where it feels like our souls are in sync. We'll think and act the same even when we're not together. We have matching heart tattoos on our ankles, which always feels like a unique sign. When we're together, we can laugh and joke all night or have these deep, meaningful conversations filled with advice that means so much to me. With Ms. Kayah, I never have to worry about being judged; she accepts me just as I am. I'll always be thankful for the close bond that became a part of my family. We're really fortunate to have such a kind-hearted, beautiful soul come into our lives and choose to be a part of our family.

Kayah is more than just a friend, she's a sister and a confidante. I admire her tenacity to navigate any room with grace and confidence. Her kindness, the ability to lead, and compassion for others is what makes her such a PHENOMENAL friend and woman overall. One of my favorite things about Kayah is her infectious laugh and her empathy for others. Her heart is full of love, and she's always intentional in her actions. I've seen the way she looks at Patrick, with a love so pure and true, and I know that she's found her soulmate. I'm honored to stand by her side as she begins this new chapter in her life. Together, Kayah and Patrick are a dynamic duo. They balance each other out, and their love for each other is unwavering. I'm so grateful to have Patrick as a part of our tribe and can't wait to see what the future holds for them both!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Dad and I are like two peas in a pod—sharing the same dry humor, a mutual struggle with barbers (though his haircuts are looking better these days), and a similar round head. Our shared passion for soccer and countless other traits make us almost inseparable in our quirks and interests. In fact, we’re so alike that he even borrows my swag—any cool hat you see him in? That’s mine! But beyond our similarities, what truly stands out is how this connection allows me to see just how thrilled he is about this wedding and his future with Kayah. I’m equally excited to see him start this new chapter with someone as wonderful as Kayah. Here’s to celebrating their love and the incredible journey ahead!
